| The Department of Classics and Ancient History's Antiquities Museum | |
The Antiquities Museum has on display a broad range of ancient artefacts stemming from Western Asia, Egypt, and the Greek and Roman worlds. The collection provides a comprehensive survey of ancient Mediterranean antiquities, which span almost 4,000 years of history, and consist of a variety of materials including stone, pottery, terracotta, metalware and glass.
Apart from being put to good use in the teaching and research activities of the Department, the Antiquities Museum enhances the ancient world studies of the many primary and secondary school students, interest groups or private individuals who visit it throughout the year.
